Gives an old rifle a modern look.

This modification was easy for me, as I am an amateur gunsmith and a retired master machinist. This is the second 1895 small ring Chilean Mauser on which I have installed one of these. Very high polish finish, very strong. Included with the handle were the drill and tap, and the screw.

Only took about 30 min to do the mod. Way easier than welding or bending.

Fits a Mauser 93 action (With some work)

Overall I’m happy with my bolt handle, but if your planning to fit this to a small ring Mauser be prepared to do some significant girding. Since the bolt root on a small ring Mauser has surfaces that decide how far the cocking piece can turn and how far you can insert the bolt into the action you will need to reshape the root of the ATI handle. On the bolt stop side you will have to grind off the “skirt” that sits over the root to allow the cocking piece to fully screw into the bolt body, then you will need to thin the other side of the handle root so you can actually close your bolt in your rifle. A bench or hand grinder is very useful for this. Also if you intend to fit a 40mm diameter objective scope to your rifle you will need to grind the top of the bolt handle root to the sale angle as the handle otherwise it will tend to interfere with your scopes eyepiece. My only real complaint about the kit is the inclusion of a starter tap only, as in many cases the hole you need to tap in your bolt body will be blind a plug/bottoming tap would be easily worth the extra 5$.
